What is SUSDEVALUES?

SUSDEVALUES is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to provide in-depth information about the existing gap that is relevant with elderly and young people; and also migrant and local people.

SUSDEVALUES will support teachers on adult organizations creating guidelines that will inspire basic common values among adults, elder, young, migrant and local people.

The goal of SUSDEVALUES is to offer a re-assessment of some basic human values such as Freedom, Security, Solidarity, Conformity, Aesthetics, Tolerance, Hospitality, Benevolence and Respect for differences in Europe, especially in the countries of the consortium (Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Italy and Latvia) for their personal and/or professional development, ultimately for the benefit of the target group and their family members.

–  To contribute to the reduction of the intergenerational gap between the new generation and the old generation.
–  To contribute to the new demands such as online application usage and other tools for distant communication and
education of the disadvantaged groups because of Covid 19 period.
–  To foster inclusive education and promote common values of the target group.
–  To ensure the target group acquire basic and family values that will be beneficial for themselves and the society in accordance with their psychological, cognitive and social development.
– To provide the acceptance of the differences and to disappear prejudice, discrimination, exclusion, gender inequalities, conflicts, frustrations and changes.
–  To develop personal, social, cultural and communicational skills of the target group with learning from each other, knowledge transfer, exchange good practices and experiences.

Grobina Adult Education centre (PIC) was established in 1996. The centre works at the development of adult non-formal education courses, seminars, project implementation. The objectives of Grobina Adult Education center: to ensure qualitative adult education to all layers of society, to improve the contents of adult education accenting the needs of the 21st century and e-learning, to create adult education programmes, to diminish the number of early school leavers, to promote middle aged and elderly adults, to enrol in lifelong learning programmes, to stimulate adults to re-qualify and acquire a new profession, to improve the existing educational programmes and to develop new adult education programmes in accordance with the requirements of the European job market, to strengthen national and international cooperation, to develop non-traditonal and innovative study programmes (intergeneration courses and cooperative learning courses), to create and maintain the database of adult education in the country.
